A place where students

grow through music

The Music Garden was founded in 1995 when our owner, Luanne Harms, brought together her two greatest passions: children and music. She envisioned a place where music wasn't reserved for the naturally talented or the few, but where everyone, regardless of age, experience, or ability, could discover the joy, confidence, and connection that music brings.

Our Story -

Two passions,

One purpose

The Music Garden was founded in 1995 when our owner, Luanne Harms, brought together her two greatest passions, children and music.

What began as a small studio has grown into a musical home for the whole community, welcoming children, teens, and adults alike.

Our programs are rooted in a simple belief: music is an innate part of who we are, and every one of us can learn, enjoy, and grow through it.

Whether you're a longtime student or just beginning to explore your musical side, we welcome you here.

Our Mission

To enrich lives through music by creating a joyful, welcoming community where people of every age, background, and ability discover their potential, build confidence, pursue excellence, and experience the lifelong rewards of learning and creating music.

Our Vision

To inspire a community where music is a lifelong source of joy, confidence, connection, and growth. We envision a place where people of every age, background, and ability have access to exceptional music education, and discover a sense of belonging through the shared experience of music.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Our Values

The principles that guide everything we do, inside our doors and out in the community we serve.

1

Joy in Learning

We believe music should be inspiring, engaging, and fun. A joyful environment encourages curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

2

Excellence with Encouragement

We challenge every student to do their best while providing the support, patience, and encouragement they need to succeed. Growth happens when high expectations are paired with genuine care.

3

Confidence & Character

Music teaches far more than notes and rhythms. Through perseverance, discipline, responsibility, and resilience, students develop qualities that serve them throughout life.

4

Community & Belonging

We believe everyone deserves a place to belong. We foster meaningful relationships where students, families, and teachers encourage one another and celebrate every milestone together.

5

Inclusiveness & Respect

We welcome people of every age, background, experience level, and ability. We believe music is for everyone, and every student deserves to feel valued, respected, and supported.

6

Serving Through Music

We believe music has the power to enrich lives and strengthen communities. By sharing our gifts and encouraging others, we strive to make a positive difference both inside and outside our walls.
