What to Expect
Classes meet one time per week
This fun, energetic class is specifically designed for children ages 3 - 4. A new curriculum written in 2024 will bring new and exciting classes that provides education through musical play! Poppies classes prepare students for success in our popular Let's Play Music piano program, pre-K and Kindergarten!
Poppies is organized into sequential semesters, each lasting 15 weeks, and provides experience with important music concepts, as well as literacy and kindergarten skills.
About the Class
This is a delightful parent/child class in which the parent plays a vital role in the success of the child. The teacher coaches and guides the parent in helping the child during music and movement activities. Because the parent is the most important teacher in the young child's life, we ask that the parents participate in class every week.
Each semester explores the elements of music: rhythm, pitch, harmony, form, dynamics and tone color. Specific concepts and skills taught include in-tune singing, timbre, beat, fast/slow, theme and form, counting, primary colors, name-recognition, and much more.
Summer 2026
June 1 - July 30 (no classes June 29-July 4)
Mondays: 11:15am-12:15pm
Tuesdays: 11:15am-12:15pm
Thursdays: 11:15am - 12:15pm
TUITION: $329 (Summer is pay in full)
