Mini and Me Piano Class for Ages 4-6 (with grown-up)

“MAKE MUSIC… MAKE MEMORIES”

What to Expect

Classes meet one time per week – 60 minutes

We’re excited to launch Mini and Me—a brand new 3-year beginner piano program for children ages 4–6, where parents or caregivers join in the fun and learn right alongside their child!

Enrollment is one year at a time. While the full Mini & Me program spans three levels, there’s no long-term commitment — just take it one joyful year at a time!

This joyful, play-based program uses the PianoForte curriculum to gently introduce:

  • Piano basics and technique
  • Singing with solfège (do-re-mi!)
  • Ear training and listening games
  • Music reading and rhythm
  • Creative play and musical expression

Whether you’re a total beginner or a trained musician ready to help your child learn piano, Mini and Me is a great way to explore music together in a supportive, stress-free environment.

An acoustic or digital piano keyboard will be needed at home for some light practice between classes. Please let us know if you have any questions about what would be appropriate.

For ages 4–6 + grown-up

Enrolling now for Fall – classes begin August 16th

About the Program

Mini & Me Piano – Year 1 / Book 1 (Ages 4–6)

  • Our first musical steps — together!
In your first year, you and your child will explore the piano side by side through singing, movement, playful games, and hands-on keyboard activities. Using the joyful PianoForte approach, your child will begin to recognize patterns, develop finger coordination, and explore rhythm and pitch — all in a developmentally appropriate, nurturing environment. Solfège singing, (do, re, mi, etc.) is woven into every lesson to help students internalize pitch relationships, improve listening skills, and connect what they hear with what they play. This powerful ear-training tool builds musical confidence and supports early music reading.
No previous piano experience needed (for grown-ups or kids!). Come ready to play and connect.

Mini & Me Piano – Year 2 / Book 2

  • Growing in confidence — and connection.
As you and your child continue your piano journey, Book 2 introduces simple music reading, steady rhythm, and more independence at the keyboard. You’ll still be right by your child’s side — singing, supporting, and sharing in their success. Lessons remain fun, playful, and full of movement, but you and your child will start reading music on the staff and gaining a deeper understanding of musical structure.

Mini & Me Piano – Year 3 / Book 3

  • Independent fingers, joyful hearts.
By the third year, (Book 3), you and your child will be reading notes on the staff, using both hands, and exploring more expressive music. You will still support your child with your presence and participation. The activities continue to be playful and engaging, but now you’ll see your child becoming a more confident, capable young musician, and you’ll be growing right alongside! It’s a special stage where music becomes not just fun, but truly meaningful.

Mini and Me is the perfect first step into the world of music, creating meaningful connection and strong musical foundations for both child and parent.
