Luanne Harms

After a childhood full of music within her family, church, and school, Luanne went on to major in voice and piano and received her Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Wichita State University in 1987. She has been a music teacher in both public and private schools ranging in ages from preschool to high school, and has served as high school choir director.

Luanne has taught piano and voice lessons both in the private and group format for over 30 years. Luanne has been involved in musical theater as both an actor and director for over 40 years. She has held director of music positions in her local church, and has directed many choirs, both adult and children's, directing and producing productions.

As a performer, she has sung in many ensembles and choirs, and has been a soloist on many occasions. Currently she is active in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Fayetteville First United Methodist Church choir, and is the worship coordinator at Christ Our Sheperd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City.

In 1995, Luanne opened The Music Garden while living in Washington State. She and her husband Bill, along with their children Jacquelyn, Allessandra, and Christian moved to Peachtree City in 2012, and opened The Music Garden in a small studio in West Park Walk. In 2017, Luanne moved the studio to a larger facility in MacDuff Crossing to accommodate the rapid growth she was experiencing. The Music Garden expanded from a one-room studio to a large, bustling music school with over 20 teachers and staff and 500+ students.

Luanne continues to further her education by adding more ideal music curriculum for teaching students at The Music Garden. She is fully certified in Let's Play Music, Sound Beginnings, and Let's Play Music Presto and is focusing on revitalizing the private studio with the hiring of excellent instructors and staff. Luanne continues to research and employ the best teachers, curriculum and materials available to ensure her students and families have the best education possible, in a caring and loving atmosphere.
