TMG CONCERT BAND – (AGES 8-13)

What to Expect
Whether you are curious about learning an instrument or have just started playing, TMG Concert Band is the perfect class to explore music in a fun and supportive group setting. Designed for ages 8-13, this program is ideal for those who may not yet have access to a school band program and homeschooled students eager to experience the joy of music with others. Students will also have the opportunity to perform at recitals and local community events, including venues like Grazing Here, Trillith, and The Avenue.
- ● Learn the basics of playing your instrument in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
- ● Discover how to play simple songs and rhythms with your bandmates.
- ● Explore timing, teamwork, and the fundamentals of making music together.
- ● Build confidence as you perform at local events and recitals.
- ● One 90-minute class per week.

Schedule and Tuition:
📅 Instrument Selection & Parent Orientation Date: March 8th, 2025
📅 Start Date: March 15th, 2025
🔔 Year-Round Program: JOIN ANYTIME!
*At the March 8th Instrument Selection, students will be able to explore different instrument options if they haven’t already decided on an instrument. Once an instrument is selected, students will be placed in classes accordingly:
🎷 Woodwinds Class: Saturdays, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
🥁 Brass/Percussion Class: Saturdays, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
🎟️ Monthly Tuition: $160 (*does not include the cost of an instrument)
📚 Registration Fee: $50 and includes a music book
🎉 Special Events: Two major recitals plus performances at local community events.

Meet Our Teacher
Jacob Snyder, originally from Newton County, is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Trombone Performance at the University of West Georgia. He has served as Principal Trombone for over two years, performed in various ensembles, and led student groups. Outside the university, Jacob teaches brass lessons in Carroll, Douglas, and Fayette Counties. He was a Concerto Winner with UWG’s Wind Ensemble in 2019 and a Southeast Trombone Symposium Solo competition semi-finalist in 2023. He is excited to share his talents with students at The Music Garden!
